when is a good time?
Alen, Sara, and Mike were sitting around the conference table, the monthly sales reports spread out before them.
Alen sighed, “We’re about to see a significant drop in our sales if we don’t do something about our product strategy, after all, it’s not like we’re the only game in town.”
Sara responded, “Yes, at least we’ve identified the problem early. But we still need to break the news to the rest of the team that our recent campaign was a real flop.”
“That’s going to cost an arm and a leg in morale,” Mike interjected, “They already feel like they’re in a dead-end job.”
“Let’s face it,” Alen added, “our last strategy gave everyone the creeps. It was too risky and alienated our customer base. We need to go back to the drawing board.”
Mike looked concerned. “If we make another mistake, we might go belly-up. We can’t afford to give someone the ax, either.”
Alen agreed, “There’s no point in losing one’s temper or panicking. We need to make up our minds on how we move forward. It’s important to have a solid strategy and to show the team we have a clear direction.”
Sara, always as sharp as a tack, suggested, “Why don’t we hire an experienced sales consultant? They might be expensive, but we need someone who knows the market like the back of their hand.”
“That might just save the day,” Alen replied. “It’s going to cost us top dollar, but if it saves the company, it’s worth it.”
Mike nodded, “We’ll need to talk this over with the board, of course. They’re not going to like the idea of spending more money, but they’ll have to put up with it.”
“And who knows?” Sara smiled, “Maybe they’ll see the logic behind it and it won’t be such a hard sell after all.”
With a renewed sense of optimism, the trio began to strategize on how they could turn their sales around. They knew they had a tough road ahead, but they were ready to tackle the challenge head-on.
